Imagine 2012 International Conference on Co-operative Economics
Imagine 2012 is designed to bring together the leadership of the world’s major co-operatives and leading economic thinkers from around the world. Imagine 2012 will provide a forum in which co-operative leaders and world-class economists can explore a new approach to economic thought and analysis that offers people around the world renewed hope for an economy that meets people’s needs.

Workshop on the promotion and dissemination of research on financial services cooperatives in the digital age
The workshop will bring together leaders of some large financial services cooperatives (FSC), representative organizations and regulators as well as academics to further the needs and establish permanent mechanisms for collaboration in the research promotion and development. The Desjardins Center from HEC Montreal will also proceed to custom demonstrations of the International Observatory of FSC, a web application that facilitates the capture, storage, retrieval and dissemination of information on the FSC.

Annual General Meeting
Some 30 community finance institutions will attend this annual meeting organized by Développement International Desjardins. As a group, Proxfin member financial institutions reach more than seven million families and business owners throughout the world. Global Cooperative Finance Summit

Lunch Debate: Banks Stability and Economic Growth, the Contribution of Co-operative Banks
This lunch discussion will focus on the strengths and challenges of cooperative banks in the aftermath of the financial crisis. The results of the updated study conducted in 2008 by Oliver Wyman, Cooperative bank: Customer Champion, will also be presented for the first time.
