Biography
Denis Richard has held several positions at La Coop fédérée since 1993, most recently becoming President in February 2003. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Olymel L.P., and sits on the Board of Directors of La Coop Parisville, where he was President from 1985 to 1994. A farmer since 1979, he and his wife own and operate a 400-hectare farm in Leclercville exclusively dedicated to grain crops.
Mr. Richard is also founding President of Leclercville’s CUMA farm machinery cooperative, a position he has held since 1994. In addition to being Vice-President of the Conseil canadien de la coopération et de la mutualité, Mr. Richard is also on the Board of the Filière agroalimentaire du Québec.
