Cirque du Soleil: an artistic example of cooperation |
Monday, June 18, 2012

Cirque du Soleil will be helping to spread the word about the cooperative business model in its own unique way: by putting on a special performance during the 2012 Summit.
World-famous circus troupe Cirque du Soleil* was founded in Quebec City by Guy Laliberté in 1984.
Cirque du Soleil's involvement in the Summit is a reflection of its partnership with Desjardins Group, one of the co-hosts of the International Summit of Cooperatives. The business relationship between Cirque and Desjardins goes back a long way, and over the years, the two organizations have built a strong partnership.
In a recent video interview with us, Daniel Lamarre explained how cooperation is a key component of Cirque's show preparations and their resulting success.
