Biography

Éric Lamarre is Associate Director at McKinsey & Company and the Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company Canada. Now based in Montréal, he joined the firm in 1994 and worked in its Paris and Toronto offices. Between 2005 and 2011, he led the firm’s Risk Practice for the Americas.

In his 12 years with the firm, Éric has served clients across a broad range of industries and geographies, including North American and global companies in the basic materials, industrial and energy sectors. His areas of specialty include risk management, business and growth strategy, post-acquisition integration, and organizational transformation programs. Over the last three years, he spearheaded a province-wide study, which analyzed dropout rates in the Québec elementary school system and provided recommendations to the government.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Éric worked for a French utility and construction company, and a leading Canadian engineering firm operating globally. Éric holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University, and a management degree from the Collège des Ingénieurs in Paris. He is a Board member of both Procure Alliance and the Montréal Heart Institute Foundation.
