About Le Cercle des économistes
Over 15 years ago, back when the strong French Franc policy provided no alternative, economic debate was sorely lacking.
From there came the idea to assemble a group of economists who could organize an open debate that was accessible to a large audience, respectful of political positions, but attentive to facts and rigorous analyses. Thus, the Cercle des économistes was born.
Today, the Cercle plays a powerful role in French economic debate. Its 30 members are all academics who work or have worked in the private or public sector.
