Biography

Jean-Emmanuel Bouchard has been President of the Fédération québécoise des coopératives en milieu scolaire (Coopsco) since June 2011, and also serves on the Board of Directors of Groupe Fides, a publishing subsidiary of Coopsco. He is currently studying political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal, and is also on the Board of the university co-op (Coop UQÀM).

Very active in the cooperative movement, Mr. Bouchard sits on several committees, including the comité d'éducation coopérative and the youth committee of the Conseil québécois de la coopération et de la mutualité. He also sits on the Board of the Fondation pour l'éducation à la coopération et à la mutualité.

About Coopsco

The Coopsco network includes 60 cooperatives with over 100 outlets inside French-speaking high schools, CEGEPs and universities in Quebec. These cooperatives manage various retail services, including book, stationery, computer and food convenience stores. The network generates sales of $125 million and has approximately 600 student directors.
