Biography
Debra l. Da Costa has 18 years' experience defining and delivering global marketing strategies responsible for market share and revenue growth . Having created and spearheaded international business development strategies, her leadership has resulted in significant growth of up to 300% in international markets.
In her role at UNFCU, Ms. Da Costa oversees all aspects of marketing and communications strategy globally, across all business functions. In successfully translating the company's vision into customer experience, she transformed a single-channel, monolingual marketing and communications area into one that is award-winning, multi-lingual and focused on customer relationships, including entirely revitalizing the brand of the institution, which has been one of many notable accomplishments. She also directs marketing research, all web-based channels, social media, corporate communications, business development and corporate social responsibility.
Prior to joining UNFCU in 1999, Ms. Da Costa held the position of Assistant Vice President in the Corporate Marketing & Communications Department of Fleet Bank, now Bank of America, where she led corporate community development and multicultural marketing initiatives.
Ms. Da Costa received an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston and graduated with a BS degree from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.
Board appointments include Vice Chair of PLAY SOCCER Non-profit International and member NGO Kilimanjaro Initiative (KI).
