"I am participating in the International Summit of Cooperatives because…"

SSG is excited to participate in the International Summit of Cooperatives because we believe the cooperative model best embodies our commitment to making the world a better place and meeting a variety of needs without sacrificing the well-being of the planet or those who inhabit it. We have a story to share and are excited to hear and learn from the stories of our peers in this movement.

Biography

Geneva is a Director with the Sustainability Solutions Group Workers Cooperative in Canada where she works as a consultant specializing in the built environment. She has worked extensively in Canada and in France over the last decade to help developers and public institutions reduce their ecological footprint while enhancing their social impact.

Always looking for more efficient, just and beautiful ways of living and working, Geneva and fellow SSG members pursued the worker cooperative model as the best option to truly embody their commitment to making the world a better place, both in what they do and how they do it. Every day since has been an adventure.

Her studies include political science and film at Concordia University in Montreal, a Masters degree in Sustainable Architecture and Engineering from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland and a LEED green building accredited professional designation. Wearing a different hat outside SSG, she is also a documentary filmmaker. Geneva speaks English, French and Spanish and is currently based in Montreal, Canada.
